Donald Stinespring, Jr.

Don is a third generation attorney who graduated from Richmond-Burton High School in 1990. After graduating cum laude from St. Olaf College in 1994, Don followed in his father's footsteps in the field of law, and attended John Marshall Law School.

In 1997, Don was admitted to practice law in Illinois. Don is also admitted to practice law before the Northern District of Illinois Federal Court. When Don joined the firm in 1997, he immediately expanded the firm's specialties by handling personal injury cases. In 2019, Don Jr. obtained a jury verdict of $7.5 million for a wrongful death case--McHenry County's highest reported jury verdict for the wrongful death of an adult child.

In 2006, Don again expanded the firm's clientele by receiving his license to practice law in Wisconsin. Don regularly serves as an Arbitrator for the 22nd Judicial Circuit, is on the Board of Directors at a local bank, and volunteers with Prairie State Legal Services, Alliance Defense Fund, and Administer Justice.

William G. Gebis

William “Bill” G. Gebis is committed to helping clients in family law and real estate matters. He understands family law matter, real estate matters, and other civil law matters, and pursues each client’s goals diligently to achieve reasonable outcomes to resolve the client’s issues. He understands the complexity of each client’s matters and adjusts his approach to match each situation.

Bill is listed on the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit, Lake County Family Child Representative and Guardian Ad Litem list and has been appointed as a Guardian Ad Litem in multiple matters, thereby protecting the best interests of minor children.

 

Prior to joining Donald C. Stinespring & Associates, Bill worked for a Lake County law firm as well as a general law practice in McHenry County counseling clients in family law, real estate and other civil matters. Prior to obtaining his law license, Bill had over 20 years of successful experience in the business world, including manufacturing, telecommunications and logistics organizations.

 

Bill graduated from John Marshall Law School in 2013. Prior to that, he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Franklin University graduating magna cum laude in 2008.

Bill is committed to giving back to the community through his involvement in many organizations. He is currently a member of the Ordinance Committee for the Village of Johnsburg and is involved in local youth organizations. He has volunteered with the Center for Disability and Elder Law Inc. and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. 

 

Bill is a long time resident of McHenry County where he lives with his wife, Marikay and two children.

Donald C. Stinespring Richmond Attorney

Don graduated from McHenry High School in 1967. After graduating from St. Olaf College in 1970, Don attended John Marshall Law School.

In 1973, Don joined his father’s firm in Chicago upon admission to practice law in Illinois. Don is admitted to practice law before the Northern District of Illinois Federal Court. After the passing of his father in 1976, Don opened his own practice in McHenry County and became the founding partner of the firm. In over 48 years of practicing law, Don has dealt with almost every type of case, has employed up to three different generations of the same family at the firm, and still finds the time for his wife of over 50 years, his three children, and six grandchildren. Don has served on the Board of Directors of a local bank and is a former Chairman and member of the Board of Directors with Centegra Health Systems and its predecessor – Northern Illinois Medical Center.
 

Cecelia Blue is a practicing attorney, licensed in Illinois and Washington, D.C., with over 20 years of legal experience. Cecelia is also admitted to the Federal General Bar for the Northern District of Illinois. Recently, she served as a prosecutor, prosecuting misdemeanor, felony, and juvenile court cases for McLean and McHenry Counties. She currently handles real estate, foreclosure, probate, breach of contract, estate planning, and major traffic cases for Donald C. Stinespring and Associates. As a private practitioner, she has represented clients at foreclosure mediation, as well as practiced in Probate Court as a Guardian ad Litem for minors. Additionally, she served families at mediation and in administrative due process hearings regarding the provision of special education and related services.

Cecelia is a long-time mediator, working with parties on resolving issues in cases involving complex litigation, attorney fee disputes, juvenile delinquency, criminal damage to property, assault and battery, tenant-to-tenant disputes, landlord/tenant disputes, and breach of contract cases. Also, Cecelia is a 12+ year arbitrator for the Circuit Court of Cook County Mandatory Arbitration Program.

Cecelia served Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth’s Young Leaders Programme for 4 years, where she coached, mentored, and advised young leaders from across the British Commonwealth. The program started as part of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee and ran for 4 years in partnership with Cambridge University in England.

​

In 2019, Cecelia received the LAP Joseph R. Bartylak Award for her contribution to the legal profession. She also received awards as a distinguished volunteer from Chicago Volunteer Legal Services and Lawyers’ Committee for Better Housing. In 2025, she will be honored along with other Student Laureate award recipients from the past 50 years by the Lincoln Academy of Illinois for reflecting the example of Abraham Lincoln’s qualities of courage, empathy, honesty, and integrity.

Cecelia received her M.B.A. with concentrations in Accounting and Strategic Management and her Bachelor of Science in Marketing (International emphasis) from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She received her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law. She also received a Certificate in Theology and Ministry from Princeton Theological Seminary and a Certificate in Executive and Life Coaching from Cambridge University, England.

Cecelia enjoys skiing as much as she enjoys hiking and the ocean. One of her favorite trips was to Costa Rica, where she spent time relaxing in a cabana on the beach and hiking in the jungle.
