John J. Murray, Jr.
John graduated from Addison Trail High School in 1997. After graduating magna cum laude and as a Distinguished Military Graduate from Drake University in 2001, John attended Drake University Law School while on an Educational Delay from the United States Army.
In 2004, John graduated Drake Law School with honors, was admitted to the Iowa bar, and was accepted into the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps where he held many positions including: Special Assistant United States Attorney; Military Magistrate Judge; and Law Instructor at the United States Army Military Police School. During this time, John also regularly taught criminal and business law courses as an Adjunct Professor for Columbia College. Prior to leaving the military in 2009 to join the firm, John was recognized by the Judge Advocate General of the Army for heroism and earned the Meritorious Service Medal for his service. John was admitted to the Illinois bar in 2008.
